The songs are getting longer but the idea remains the same. These are the songs I dumped into a playlist as I thought about my favourite songs. Arranged in order of each songs duration it's basically four and a half hours of eclectic sonic genius. To me it is anyway.

Another great list. So much good stuff on here: Road Runner, Police and Thieves, Cities...I could go on. (Fear of Music is one of my fave albums.) Interesting to see Jacques Derrida on your list, too. I played SP's Songs to Remember to death when I was young. Green Gartside pops up on BBC 6 Music every now and again, sitting in for Guy Garvey or Gideon Coe when they're away on hols. He's always worth listening to.
ReplyDeleteI too am a big fan of Fear of Music - http://theknockingshop.blogspot.ie/2013/05/top-102-albums-no-8-fear-of-music.html I have Jacques Derrida on 7' and played it to death. Indeed I still play it, post mortem. Must look out for Green on BBC6.
