This was actually serialised in a magazine published by Dickens, who was a mentor to Collins.Séamus Dugganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00574186409184247059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-500794647428701667.post-39547592229997991632012-11-09T12:23:03.551+00:002012-11-09T12:23:03.551+00:00I really enjoyed reading this book and then listen...I really enjoyed reading this book and then listened to an audio version, which works really well too (good company when doing something boring, like decorating). Apparently it was originally serialised weekly in a paper, like some of Dickens' work - it is the sort of story that would work well published in that way as there is plenty of suspense. I was a bit hesitant to give it a go, but it definitely does sit above the standard mystery novel :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07546287562521628467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-500794647428701667.post-1917231651556439652012-10-14T17:41:13.187+01:002012-10-14T17:41:13.187+01:00I can't actually remember if I saw the film bu...I can't actually remember if I saw the film but maybe I did. It would explain the nagging feeling that I'd read the book before.
